There are many Organic Brands nowadays in Australia and internationally. However, many of these brands and products are simple and easy to make products, such as massage oils, essential oils, floral water, and aloe vera gel. Not many organic brands are capable of making smooth textured and high-performance creams and lotions that have a shelf life of more than 30 months. Other products may have separation problems, and the preservation system often is not as effective and with an unpleasant smell. Jasmin Organics performance often is better than many equivalent chemical products. What sets Jasmin apart from other brands is the efficacy of the products and the beautiful smells and aroma. All of Jasmin Organics products are sophisticated and have a beautiful aroma and loved by both Australian and Asian women. Other Organic brands can have no smell and are less desirable by consumers.

Jasmin Organic’s creams and lotions are top quality and surpass the famous big international brands. The Shiseido team came to inspect our factory in 2015 and they were very impressed with how soft, smooth, and absorbent the products are including the popular BB cream. Jasmin is the first organic skincare brand to receive the CIQ (China Import permit) into China with 100% of their products being certified organic.

The packaging is high end comparable to big international brands and all lotions and creams are in airless containers or pumps which differs from their competitors.

Jasmin Organics owns all formulations, machinery, and trademarks in Australia and China.

Jasmin Organics have continuously invested internationally, especially in China. In 2019 Lihua attended China's import Expo in Shanghai and had the largest and most impressive stand of 36 square meters to exhibit which created a lot of exposure. Funds have been invested to safeguard and defend their trademarks in China also. Jasmin Organics recently won a case against a company in China trying to take the Koala baby trademark. Koala Baby organics and Jasmin brands are well known in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Japan.

Organic Certification

COSMOS

Australian Certified Organic is the first Asia-Pacific based certifier accredited under the COSMetics Organic and natural Standard (COSMOS) as an approved certifier for Organic and Natural cosmetics as well as cosmetics raw materials, following an accreditation process through the International Organic Accreditation Service (IOAS).

COSMOS standard is the result of a harmonization effort conducted by five leading European certification bodies: BDHI (Germany), Cosmebio (France), Ecocert (France), ICEA (Italy) and Soil Association (UK) with the aim to create a global Organic and Natural Cosmetics Standard. Since its constitution in 2010, the standard has been placed in the hands of COSMOS-standard AISBL, an international non-profit Association.

Organic Skincare Market

The May 2019 Australian Organics Report* found that out of 18 categories of organic products, including meat, fresh produce, dairy, and groceries, the strongest gains in purchase participation were in the organic skincare/cosmetics category.

More than one third (37 percent) of the 1,025 households surveyed for the report reported that they had made an organic skincare purchase over 2018 compared to 29 percent the year before – an increase of 8 percent. In 2016 the rate was just 22 percent, illustrating just how much interest in the sector has grown.

In Asian markets especially Japan and China, more and more women choose natural and organic skincare brands, the export market to China and Japan is potentially massive.

The report notes that successful operators have distinguished their products from non-organic cosmetics and toiletries by luxury branding. This is exactly the strategy successfully adopted by Jasmin. As the majority of the Australian skincare brands are priced for the low and medium-priced end of the market. Jasmin stands out from the crowd.

The skin care segment is expected to dominate, with a 30.9 percent share of the estimated $US 21.776 million organic personal products market by 2024. Haircare is next in line. Factors including the expansion of distribution channels, increasing online customer reach, and retailers’ shift towards offering premium personal care products on shelves have furthered the trend. Again Jasmin already has a strong online site but needs the funding to undertake large scale social media promotion.
